It's one thing to report rumors (we all like to hear the latest), but I think we should be a bit more circumspect making judgments about people based on rumors. There have been some pretty nasty things said about people based on rumors that turned out to be inaccurate. We need to keep the level of discussion above that on iflub.

Report the rumor, but make sure it's presented as such and keep to the "facts" (if you can do that with a rumor).

OK: I heard Mr. X sold his shares.

Not OK: I heard MR. X sold his shares. He's a jerk.
