I knew there were cheaper places, available, but I wanted to be able to just roll out of bed and into the bus. No telling what condition I'll be in, especially for the tour the morning after the shareholder meeting. Might be a bit too much either celebrating or drowning of sorrows, especially if everyone who has promised to buy each other a beer shows up. :) I also wanted to be able to meet with fellow shareholders as easily as possible. I'm not renting a car (the Marriott has a free shuttle service from the airport) since I'm arriving Thursday and leaving Sunday, so staying at one of the three seemed the easiest possible. Come on over to the Marriott if you get a chance.

BTW, as I mentioned earlier, the SFMI "corporate rate" if you call up the Boise Marriott is more than the rate on the Marriott site, although the cheaper web rate is non-refundable.

As a side note, I just noticed that the GHDC SH meeting is on Thursday at the mill- similar setup- and they are also invited on the Saturday tour. If I'd known, I might have arrived a day earlier and gone to that one too, even if it meant buying a few shares. Never can have too much cocktail shrimp. But it also means that it is very likely that some people at the hotels Thursday evening will be able to provide information that the rest of us won't get until the next day. I expect the bars in the three hotels will be buzzing Thursday night.
