Well, we must remember that "Bearish" Gold has been complicit in suppressing gold for many, many years. It's massive hedging over many years was a tool for the Cabal to short the PMs. Today, one has to be a forensic accounting genius to understand what their balance sheet and annual audit means.

So, when one sees from the US Fed that the U.S. has long ago changed the status of its vaulted gold to "deep storage gold" basically that means gold in the ground, which means gold not yet recovered from future mines...which means complex, opaque loans/swaps via Bearish and others. That is what is surmised to be the present day status of the United States' 8400 tons of the people's "vaulted gold" that the FEd. will not allow an audit of... said above-ground gold bars having been sold off without the consent of Congress...illegally...commencing with Robert Rubin's Strong dollar Policy many years ago. ( this is not political since both parties have been comlicit ) Please refer to GATA.org about all this because I do not make it up . Note the guilty plea of ABX re law suit several years ago: Blanchard et AL.

Ever wonder why Bearish is always/has always been given positive PR on all the businese news networks?...in spite of all their shareholders getting screwed for years? in spite of their suppressive influence on the price of gold they were shorting. Check out their balance sheet and shares out and "obligations" and you could well wonder why anyone invests in them. Check out who is on their BOD. Make no mistake though, they are fully supported by the Cartel ( huge funds and banks)and that is why their stock trades where it does. Does it make sense that Bearish is now on the hunt for large gobs of in-ground gold? They need to do a lot of acquiring in a real hurry, as cheap as possible, with as little fuss as possible. But, will their tragic flaw arrogance do them in?

Hey, if I was owner of an explorer with maybe 10 million ounces of readily accessible gold in the ground and I thought that the price was artificially suppressed and woefully undervalued, why would I not make a huge stink about an attempted hostile takeout for peanuts?..,especially when that same "Bearish" paid $30 in 96 with gold at $400 for a nice open pit with nice grades around 7 gm/t, ( no feasebility study ) guessing there was somewhere between 4 to 7 millon ounces "in-the-ground"...desperate for reserves at that time. Can you just imagine the desperation this very day? It is multiples higher after those CFTC Hearings and the mainstream beginning to take notice...and ten years of GATA and Butler evidence that has been ignored...and much anger beginning to surface...and foreign entities and greedy funds smelling blood in the water for a mammoth short squeeze of all times? (pardon the run-on sentences).

Soooo, the way I hear it, the US needs to have 8400 tons of real gold ( that simply no longer exists for purchase) but the little loophole is that no one said it is above ground in nice bars in a vault. That equivocates to about 268 million ounces of gold. The way some see it, that means Bearish and others need to have 8400 tons of gold in-the-ground for the bad guys, in a very opaque way, to be able to say they have it. Thus they think they will have a way out of the mess they're now in and with the word "treason" actually being bandied about with respect t the revelations now spilling out post the hearings of the Commodities Futures Trading Committee on limiting the positions of concentrated holdings (see GATA.org.) One can brilliantly surmise that the term "desperation" is wishy-washy at best.

What ever will happen? Black Swan event coming our way? Print dollars so fast that everyone is happy until hyperinflation hits worse than the last great depression? Probably. If so, some think we have a few years of fun left.

One thing is sure...the price of gold, silver and their stocks can not be held down for too much longer. Small producers like SFMI are beginning to look good in a Speedo...and that ain't a potato stuck down the front mate.
