Interesting stuff. I look forward to when we can see the diagrams and maps based on the data they collect. Our very own treasure maps- in 3D!

Which brings up a point I have been wondering about. The Sinker Tunnel from what I understand was meant to connect to the other tunnels at a lower level so that ore could be moved down, rather than up, and taken out at an elevation that is accessible year round. On p. 6 of SFMI's historical summary, History of Mining on War Eagle Mining they mention that work on the Sinker tunnel stopped when blind drilling was unable to find the upper tunnels quickly enough. It was speculated that the miners were actually reluctant to drill into the upper tunnels, where there is evidently about a 1000 feet of water that has collected since they were closed. Is there a plan as to how to deal with this? Do they have a plan to pump out the upper mines first? I can't imagine just poking a hole up from the Sinker into water under a thousand feet of pressure. In the summary, they mention that there was evidently no plan in the earlier efforts as to how to actually make the connection. On p. 16 they mention drlling a drainage connection from the top of the Sinker to the Golden Chariot shaft so that they will no longer need to use submersible pumps. So I assume they plan on dropping pumps down into the mines and pumping water out of the top, and as soon as that is done they will connect to the Sinker and then drain seeping water out there. Is this happening yet, or is this just in the planning stages?
