In light of the exposed happenings in the US marketplace over the last couple of years, it personally, doesn't surprise me and actually seems trivial.
I imagine that all markets can be manipulated in one form or another and is done to some degree on a regular basis. Don't you believe many of those with tremendous wealth and power got where they are, at least partly, because of it?
