08:16 AM EDT, 10/16/2017 (MT Newswires) -- Sierra Metals (SMT.TO) said Monday that both silver and copper equivalent production declined in Q3.

During the quarter, the company produced 2.7 million silver equivalent ounces and 23.5 million copper equivalent pounds, both down 8% from the same period last year.

For the year, the company still expects production of 11.5 million to 13.5 million silver equivalent ounces and 98.6 million to 115.1 million copper equivalent pounds.
