Drilling had extended the Sardine Hill deposit to 2.5 km. Drilling also indicated gold mineralization to a depth of 200 m and open at depth.

Preliminary sampling indicated up 3,200 ppb gold and an apparent increase in values with depth. Disseminated base metal zones are also known. In 1994, exploration work identified a 1.6 km long soil anomaly. The core of the anomaly returned gold values in the 2 to 5 g/tonnne range.
