For anyone considering getting a netbook, I just bought the new Acer Aspire gen II netbook. The screen is now 11" and the key board enlarged to about 90% of a normal.

Used it for last 2 days and really glad my SGR profits bought it for me. Battery life with the 3 cell is about 3 hours, the screen is very nice and I can even run Excel and Word. The student version of 2007 Office can be put on three computer for only $150 and is easy to get on the netbook simply by email from my desktop with an attachement in Excel.

I thought the slower Z520 processor would be a set back, but no concerns yet. The best part with this model compared top all others is the screen is 1024 X 768 so the web pages fit. Can even do wide screen 1324X768 . The keyboard is bit tricky as they encorporated french on some of special keys. Yesterday I loaded on a bunch of music and even watched Russel Peters on youtube.

The added flexability with light weight (2.75 lbs) is going to be great. I wish I bought it prior to my big road trip out west, instead I bought it on the way back in Alberta, land of no PST.
