Wildcat Exploration Ltd. Announces Discovery of Copper Mineralization on Two Manitoba Properties

17:51 EDT Tuesday, September 23, 2008

WINNIPEG, MANITOBA--(Marketwire - Sept. 23, 2008) - Wildcat Exploration Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:WEL) ("Wildcat" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that assay results from the Company's summer field programs conducted in the Rice Lake greenstone belt and in the Flin Flon Snow Lake greenstone belt returned assays from surface samples containing up to 1.58% copper (Cu).

In the Rice Lake greenstone belt, at the Company's Garner Lake property, rock samples from two separate locations returned 1.48% and 0.78% Cu. The property, located 40 kilometres south east of the town of Bissett MB, is situated between Provincial Road 304 and the Ontario border. It consists of 12 contiguous claims, totaling 2,285 hectares, in which Wildcat holds a 100% interest. The samples were collected north of Garner Lake on the eastern part of the claim group. The first sample location is situated in an area of ultramafic flows, approximately 3 km. east of the Beresford Lake shear zone, where previous rock sampling by the Company resulted in identification of two high grade gold occurrences with concentrations of 153 g/t at the Marlin showing, and up to 18.2 g/t at the Swordfish showing. The second sample was collected from a vein in gabbroic rocks, approximately 1.5 km east of the first sample location.

At the Company's Reed Lake property in the Flin Flon-Snow Lake greenstone belt, the summer geological program identified Cu mineralization in a shear zone in mafic and felsic volcanic rocks in the northern part of the claim group where rock sampling returned an assay of 1.58% Cu. A recent airborne geophysical survey conducted for the Company indicates that the zone lies along the eastern limb of a geophysical anomaly that extends from the discovery area to the southwest for a distance of approximately 5 km. The property, consisting of 32 contiguous claims totaling 6,156 hectares, is situated along the west side of Reed Lake, approximately 1.4 km north of PTH 39, the main provincial road connecting the city of Flin Flon and the town of Snow Lake. The southern boundary of the property is approximately 4 km north of the recent discovery by VMS Ventures Ltd. (September 23, 2008: 61.96 m of 5.98% Cu).

Based on these results the Company has dispatched a field team to the Garner Lake property to conduct additional geological sampling and mapping. The team will mobilize to the Reed Lake property in October.

Wildcat's exploration program is managed by Peter Theyer, Ph.D., P.Geo, a Qualified Person as defined by NI 43-101, who has reviewed all technical information in this release.
