Seriously, though, I think owning outright a roof over your head should up there on the priority list
I remember reading about Germany during their hyperinflation, as things to own housing ranked low on the list, houses were poor inflation hedges because of low rents, but debt presumably fixed was a good place to be, debt at fixed low interest rates diminished through inflation and that has been my experience since buying my first home.
If I didn’t already own a home my inclination would be to put my assets into gold and debt. by the time this is all over 30-40 1oz gold coins should buy a comfortable home.
