I subscribed to Richard Russell a few years back and enjoyed his publication as much for his off topic stories as a bombardier during the second word war. He like most of us isn’t always right in his predictions, even though I know he doesn’t trade his holdings, he is expecting the gold stocks to be taken down with the general stock market. The way I see it things are a lot different now to the 1930s, the markets will anticipate the contraction and the subsequent quantities easing the consequences for which nobody will know the outcome except for the hyperinflation which will follow. I do feel the time scale is narrowing quickly, John Williams of shadow stats expected it to unravel a year ago.
