Jay Taylor, in the Sept. 20, 2011, edition of Gold, Energy & Tech stocks, refreshes his buy of San Gold Corp., recently $2.81. Mr. Taylor said buy seven times from Oct. 16, 2006, to April 18, 2011, at prices ranging from $1 to $3.39. Assuming an investment of $1,000 for each buy, the $7,000 investment is now worth $12,765. San Gold is drilling 300,000 metres at its Rice Lake project in Manitoba. It is using 13 rigs and expects to finish drilling by the end of the year. San Gold's president, George Pirie, says the drill program can "exponentially" increase the project resource and help the company identify more targets. Mr. Taylor likes the word "exponential," especially when Mr. Pirie uses it in the same sentence as "Rice Lake" and "resource." The newsletter writer says Mr. Pirie is "an excellent operating guy who is proving his own weight in gold." Besides increasing the resource, Mr. Pirie hopes the program would also increase mine life and milling capacity (currently 1,700 tonnes a day). Mr. Taylor says San Gold continues to hold much potential as a takeover target for a major. He says buy the stock, even if it has less upside potential (in percentage terms) than other explorers or producers.
