San Gold Corporation - one of Canada's most exciting new exploration companies and gold producers.
The show was packed this year, as already mentioned.
I had a chat with lead exploration geologist, Billl Ferreira, and I must say he comes across as a guy who has the Rice Lake greenbelt in general and the SGR holdings in particular, all figured out. He seems very confident of where to drill next and more importantly, what he's going to find.
Bill gave a few of us eager, all-ears-and-eyes investors, a lesson in geology as to how the high grade SGR gold veins and deposits were formed and folded and pushed and shoved and spread aound to where they now just sit and wait, as they have for millions of years, for someone like us to come and find them and free them from their lonely beds.....so they can finally rest in peace on someone finger, hang around some lucky lady's neck or just sit and shine as 1 kg bars in the noon-day sun in the window of the Bank of Nova Scotia on King Street West.
Bill is also a very personable and articlulate fellow, with an easy, friendly manner, handing out sparkling, gold-laden drill cores to anyone who came within 5 feet of the San Gold booth, like a huckster selling the latest juice machines at a health food show.
Bill is clearly a first class, top gun ambassador for San Gold. I hope the new CEO sends him to all the Gold shows and to the PDAC in Toronto. He's a one man show all by himself.
He is also VERY positive on what the future holds for San Gold. And it is clearly not an act - you can see it in his eyes, feel it in his body langauge and hear it in his voice.
He couldn't or wouldn't tell me when SGR is going to start flooding the Bank with rivers of cash (not his department), but my impression was it would be soon......very soon.
So, I for one, feel quite comfortable in adding more SGR shares to my pile, especially at these bottom feeding prices.
