San Gold Corporation - one of Canada's most exciting new exploration companies and gold producers.
How about GEA . They had very few holes and at the depth they needed to drill to prove out their resource would have been very expensive. Under an island in the middle of the channel with a flooded shaft. Drill cores had to be abandoned because the great depth made them difficult to complete. As soon as AEM started sniffing around Goldcorp moved and quickly. From memory I believe they paid an all in price of over$600 per ounce at a time when POG was very close to $600. IMHO because of the near surface deposits providing income to help fund exploration and developement SGR is definitely on G's wish list. Dundee is in control with a huge share position and the shareholder protection plan(poison pill). What I am seeing now is Dundee starting to put a little makeup on this assett and getting her ready for the market.
