Background- For those of you who may not be familiar with it, the Charley Rose Show, is a nationally broadcast ( within the U.S. ) Public TV series which aires nightly about six days per week Each timely episode usually consists of Chaley Rose, the host, interviewing newsworthy, or noteworthy people about a wide variety of serious, in depth topics.

For the first time that I can recall, tonight, Charlie takes up the topic of gold investing with a panel of guests familiar with the topic. The guests include John Hathaway, manager of the Toqueville Gold Fund ; Peter Munk, Chmn. BOD Barrick Gold ; and finally James Grant, founder & editor of Grant's Interest Rate Observer in NY.

Background- David Einhorn became rather famous in the U.S. just a few years ago, when he made an extraordinary amount of money for his investors both by foreseeing as early as 2006, the banking/real estate crisis develop in the U.S. and then acting upon his investment convictions by shorting the stocks of companies he felt were most likely to be adversely affected by the (then) pending problems, primarily in banking & real estate finance
