Ruf, Any money saved on power goes straight to the bottom line. In BC we have similar programs and our company has taken advantage of a lighting grant. Hydo figures out the cost of developing new sources and rather than do that they invest the money in freeing up existing power. Hydro paid over half of the cost of removing all our lighting and installing T-8 flourescents with electronic ballasts. The project was in the $100,000 range and we will get a 2 year payback. The good news is we spend less every month of electricity.
