Can anyone explain to me why some of us posters get demoted in rank while elementwise maintains his president rank while not posting since Sept. 11, 2009? Confusing to say the least. Makes one wonder if he was one of the so-called "Agoracom plants".

I expect it's because he hasn't done anything to change people's ratings of him, or the number of reccomendations to his posts. Go find him and rate him down, and see what happens.
