Comparing September '08 to today using the VIX, Gold and SGR.

Today was the biggest jump in the VIX...ever, even moreso than when it spiked in the second week of September '08. The week previous, SGR tanked to 95 cents and gold went to $739.80. Today SGR hit a new high and gold is pretty damn close in US$.

Are we decoupling? If you're not worried, you should be.
