San Gold Corporation - one of Canada's most exciting new exploration companies and gold producers.
The COT report for last tuesday shows commercials upping their shorts to 411,000 contracts, highest for 10 years, but also upping their longs to 145,000, just short of the maximum of 150,000 in 2008. The daily reports of open interest are unreliable, as they get revised quite a lot - but it suggests a further 17,000 contracts by Friday.
What looks odd is the ratio of shorts to longs - it's relatively low compared with last autumn.....like they are expecting/allowing a blow-off. Would be nice if the daily position record was reliable. I suppose removing their longs at some point would help topple the price, such as seemed to happem somewhat last late November, that's why I'd like the daily figures to be accurate. Garbage in, garbage out.

There's the Kingworldnews item - possible silver investigation by the Department of Justice, into JPMorgan, which might be of interest.

just my umble perspective
As a range, I've got 3-5moz for SGR, reasonably valued in ground at $100 less than Goody's average, cos it's high grade, and $500m for production, mcap of 1.5m-2.25m. SP of 5.4 - 8.1, all depending. The 5.4 isn't far off analysts targets, which I hope are fairly conservative. It looked this good to me all the way down to $3.11, which gave me the confidence to buy. I was sort of non-plussed with the news release....great, but a good chance that it was on the cards - basically more of the same and not a glory hole. The halt was good........I was delighted and surprised with the buying response........not too worried if it slips back below 4, as I've got some cash to buy.......very pleased not to have looked for exit to my position, as was commented on here down in the depths; just traded a little for safety. SGR looks pretty solid to me.
So much to look forward to - TSX listing, reaching 007, upping production, more drill results (POG blowoff-crash).........in some ways I can't believe I've made these decisions, considering the economic climate out there, but thanks to all contributors here for providing info, stimulus, and items to make me think.
