E's bio says he is from Winnipeg and I seem to recall others suggesting that he had attended some of the AGM's. Although your suggestion gives one pause to think, I believe it was suggested he was between jobs and had sold his equities. I recall a post that had suggested he was a follower of the Elliot Wave theory and was out of the markets and is waiting for the next shoe to drop. Notice all the uncertainty in my post as I haven't the foggiest, I merely am repeating (dangerous practice)what I had thought happened to him.

3. Investments – "moving to a strong cash position for awhile"- Good move! "awhile" could easily extend to mid 2011 to as late as 2016. Whenever the time comes for the defaltion to conclude you will be able to by 5 to 10 times the assets with that "strong" cash as you could in late 2007.
