Dry facilities are rooms or a building, where the miners have hooks on chains, they hang up their wet/dirty clothes, hard hat, and boots to dry, locker are also provided some times. Usually the room is warm to warmer. Most change their work clothes about once a week, the chain usually has a place to put a lock,to prevent stealing. In most mines there are places, rooms, down in the mine, to get warm mid-shift and eat ones lunch. We had warm steam radiator, but I'm sure there are microwaves in the lunch areas and other more modern facilities. As you may have guessed mining is hard, dirty work in the dark except for a miners light on his hard hat and lights on the drill jumbos. I believe Sans mines are mostly dry,not much pumping, which is less costly and easier on the miner. A description of Muck, this is the mining dirt fines mixed with water that the miner work in, much like muck in a construction site. jasmts
