Message: Re: Summary of Hinge Drill Results

...ideally when looking at drill results one will scan at the grams over the drill widths. Under ground mining to be profitable requires 7 gr over 5 to 6 ft widths which allows for ideal mining which allows for a low strip ratio ( waste ore ) and cuts cost per oz. I see on hinge # 4 a continuos vein running with high grade and wide widths and the cobina and l13 not far behind. Looking at the core from the deeps are also fantastic but require more man handling to get the ore to surface hence the added cost per oz for mining. Open pit mining requires 3 to 5 gr but you require continuos grades through out the ore body and in Canada the average open pit cost is around $ 450. an oz where as Sans hinges will produce for under $ 200 an oz and $ 350. FOR THE DEEPS. I see San in a couple yrs out mining more from our hinges and less from the deep as we keep finding more hinges and once the mill raises its capacity we should also have more development into these stopes to draw ore from. I see yrs out a whole net work of near surface drifts suppling our riches as San just has to much gold and to little man power. Long On The Greens Traps7
