I just noticed this morning that the Dec. futures contract was down $6.70 and the spot was only down $1.10. IMO this would suggest we actually had an increase in demand for gold as a safe haven. The pattern over the past months has been for the futures to be a dollar or so higher than spot and the seemed to be moving in lock step. Just my perception so look for yourself,
