John Tait who is the COO of VG was the president and CEO of Southern Star before it became GEA. We all know how that ended. McEwen tends to breed juniors that either become G or get taken out by G, afterall he took G from 50 million to 8.5 billion in 13 years with a brutal gold price, what's to say he's not fast tracking another major comprised of a number of high quality juniors.

On the other hand, maybe Goodman is putting SGR in McEwen's backyard as retribution for the Dickenson deal? After all, it was only 10 years ago.

As far as SGR goes, they are obviously getting preferential treatment in Timmins. You have to ask yourself why and who is steering the ship? Is Ned trying to squeeze out McEwen or vice versa or are they working together? If it's anything like the Dickenson deal, an intense bidding war could ensue. Will Ned go 0 for 2 as he gets roasted by the Ontario courts once again?

Personally I don't care who gets control as long as the SP goes up and we get a market cap close to $8.5 billion. That would be about 32$.
