Not knowing who, or what type of investor would take up these debentures I will have to say I am merely thinking out loud again. By forcing conversion would that take away a safety valve held by someone that may be inclined to short the stock. Perhaps the debenture holders have been active on the short end recently as they would not need to fear a SP increase as they could always use the debenture as a cover of last resort. If the market declines as we have seen lately they can hang in there and continue to play the game. Maybe if that assumption is valid the shorts will now have to cover. The other board is saying that the debenture holders will now have to sell stock in order to take up the debenture offer, however maybe a lot of them have already done that?????
