Spent some time over the last few weeks looking at the Rice Lake area info, claims all over the area, and re-reading San's news...thought I would put this in front of the BB group and hope it's of interest, not that it's anything you don't know.

Checking back, Jan 08 was the first release of news of testing of the surface volcanics, where the old mines Wingold and Gold Standard are found. This drilling was based on suspicions from deep drilling on veins around San's gabbro San Antonio Mine Unit. Great success.

Seems that at first it was thought a few parallel axis along old mine lines through the volcanics.........then several axis, and San now expressing it as various lenses,???? perhaps throughout these volcanics, rather than associated with various axis. Presently drilling to test whether Hinge and Cohiba are seperate axis or a continuous area............a large swathe of volcanics with high-grade veins throughout.

What a #*&(*&*** great bit of evolving work.

The Jan 08 NR said 'Drilling along the third, easternmost, hinge or axis which also contains the historic Wingold (0.41 ozlton 1930s) and Gold Standard deposits resulted in this discovery.

Then in May 2008 the third hinge becomes Hinge#4.....We look forward to increasing the size and quality of the new Hinge zones which have unlocked the exploration potential of the entire volcanic sequence to the north of the main mine unit. A fourth drill rig has moved to a parallel hinge axis line to approximately 500 meters to the west of Hinge #4 in order to test other similar structures which include early mine workings. These workings include the Big Four shaft (1916), and the #1 and #2 Goldcup veins and an inclined shaft from the 1920’s.

Then September 2008, starting to think the Hinge discoveries carry right through to 1.5km below ground.....................drilling at Deep East (5,000 ft depth) has intersected mineralization identical to the new Hinge zones that are currently being drill tested from surface..........The underground Hinge intersections are located over 1,500 meters down dip and below the current surface drill program.

then by June 2009 lens is referred to for the first time.
.......drilling has discovered a new high grade gold zone near surface located approximately 0.5 kilometers to the east of the developing Hinge zones (Cohiba)...... This new discovery appears to be stratigraphically in the same horizon as the Hinge #1 lens (first mention) and may be an extension of that zone. Ongoing drilling will continue to fill in the 0.5 km information void between the Hinge #1 lens and the new discovery.It is becoming obvious that the Hinge zone is not a “one-off” but part of a much larger mineralized system that has infiltrated the multi-kilometer thick volcanic sequence that was only partially prospected in the 1920’s and 1930’s. Our understanding of this large “camp scale” system is accelerating rapidly within our large mine lease and land position.
