I guess we got lots excitement on here today!! LOL

Let me clarify my position and maybe help everyone take a step back and regroup.

I have been taking a pretty laid-back approach to the forum for sometime, and as I have pointed out a few times, I am really not THE "hall monitor" like BCB likes to say, and I suppose as some of you think. We really are all the hub monitors, and anyone can flag posts as being outside of the Agoracm rules. So, I have been letting things go and waiting to see whether anyone would have a problem and flag it.

We have had some good, freindly, inclusive discussion on here, about SGR, gold, neighbours, etc. I think it has been healthy and informative for everyone. But, over the past couple of weeks the new Cougar info has taken over and SGR itself has become mostly "background". Some have noted that on here, and I suggested last week that Cougar discussion should go to the Off-Topic Forum. I did that to help avoid problems in the main forum as not everyone wants the kind of a shift of focus away from SGR itself. However, Cougar posts continued unabated and I am not surprised that it finally got flagged. I think it got a bit out-of-hand, personally.

Who flagged it is really not relevant. Whether it was legitimately off-topic is relevant, and once it was flagged, I had to agree that it was a correct call (as per Agoracom rules). So, I noted that today in my earlier post.

Please don't misunderstand my perspective... I am very interested in all the Greenbelt companies. I am glad for everyone's participation (in appropriate places). I think we just need to keep in mind that this San Gold hub is widely read, beyond just the handful of regulars that HM mentioned. Not everyone wants this board to lose its focus, so let's not let it get away from us.

Traps, if you want to make the SKP board a more general Greenbelt board, that might fly as I don't think it has developed a strong Strikepoint company focus to date yet. I think the Wildcat board has managed to stay pretty much on track, and I wouldn't want it to lose what it has.

That is my perspective. There will be different views, no doubt, but things weren't really that far off track - let's not over-react to a little corrective action.

JMHO.
