Maybe they are talking about tons of ore?? Open pit copper mines always like to use those numbers maybe open gold mines like to refer to the same.

I don't think so, the numbers are different than Slug posted:

Proven and probable - 2.169

Measured and indicated - 3.188

Something is not quite right here. On SGR's site, the total resource is ~6.3M t, and the split is quite different:
