I watched again and noticed something that never clicked before. I have seen the picture but not being a miner really didn't know what I was looking at. The underlined text is significant, because in order to remove a lense or vein you need a tunnel big enough to travel along til you get to the end of the vein. In some cases 20+ feet wide. This vein is bigger than the tunnel so you would only need to remove gold bearing ore in order to follow the gold. That would reduce the mining cost and the ore grades significantly. They also show this in the graphic showing a sliced view of the lenses of the hinge.

Hinge Zone Video

Note: This video is compiled from raw, unedited footage and assorted graphics. It is intended to give viewers a general impression of the Hinge Zone’s location, early construction and vein geometry. Note that the high grade gold vein extends across the entire width of the exploration drift (i.e. “tunnel”). No commentary is provided. Viewers are advised not to draw any inferences or form any conclusions from this initial, purely visual representation.
