I believe the scenario you you portray is very real. Didn't the U.S. government call it the market stabilization fund. (manipulation fund). I don't know if any of you saw the interview a congressman had with a top federal reserve official. He continually pressed to get an answer to a very simple question

"Do you have any documentation to show us where the billions of dollars you were given has been spent or where it has been deployed?" The FED official after many er ums and blank stares had to, in a round about way, had to admit to having no idea where the money went.

Unfortunately we are all floating in the same boat. I feel that there is no safe place to hide your money. I do believe however that when the ship sinks the best place will be is a junior miner that has enough cash to last for at least two years, a successful ongoing exploration program that is adding significant value to the net worth of the company., and the infrastucture in place to enable a quick response to an economic recovery. This of course is only my opinion, but it is the only opinion that makes sense to me.
