For some of us focused on SAN, realization that price volitility is a byproduct allows us to sleep nights during a downward draft we are now expierencing!
There can be no doubt the ride will be bumpy!
Even those who understand intellectually that such dips are part of the normal course of events may react emotionally, falling into panic.
Focus investors toloerate the "bumpyness" because, to quote Warren, "they know in the long run, the underlying economics of the companies they choose will more than compensate for any short-term price fluctuations!"
Buffett is a master "bump ignorer" which in this market we all (longs) must become!
