Chris is one of the most cautious traders I follow. He only buys when there's very low risk - at least, this is the way he trades ETF's. He states that this is a speculative, higher risk play.

I bought in for a number of reasons - the juniors traditionally do well in in the fall and winter months; the loonie is taking off again; the USD is going to drop like a rock; gold and silver are going to set new highs over the next 6 months; and I'm worried about the reported bank holiday and subsequent revaluation of the dollar. I want my money out of the USD, out of the country, out of the hands of the banks, and invested in a country which China is also investing in. I spent a few months working in China last year, and they are one astute bunch. They think in a time span of decades, and they know money. Shame the politicians in the US don't.
