TORONTO (miningweekly.com) – Vancouver-based SNS Silver has completed a NI 43-1-1 resource estimate on its Crescent property, in Idaho, where mineral resources are estimated at 6,1-million ounces of silver in the indicated category, the firm reported on Thursday.

There are also 4,1-million ounces of inferred silver ounces.

The resources were calculated at an 11-oz/t cutoff.

The resource estimation was based on block modelling of intercepts from one-hundred diamond drill holes completed during 2007 and 2008.

"We are pleased with these initial resource numbers, as this resource is just the starting point for continued exploration at the Crescent,” said SNS president and CEO David Greenway.

“With the resource blocks identified, the next step we have begun is an internal scoping process to develop a sustainable production scenario."

SNS has a number of gold and silver assets in Idaho.
