Newcastle Updates Carscallen Exploration Progress

VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Jun 29, 2010 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX News Network) --

Newcastle Minerals Ltd. (TSX VENTURE: NCM) is pleased to report that SGX Resources Inc. has received the results of its recent mobile metal ion analysis of the Carscallen property located 21 kilometres southwest of Timmins, Ontario. The soil sampling found four anomalous zones that coincide with or overlap the geophysical anomalies Newcastle identified in April.

SGX Resources has recommenced drilling, with a four- or five-hole program planned to test these targets.
