This is a brilliant move by RPM!

It appears from the news release, that Rye Patch informed senior management of Coeur d'Alene Mines of the location of RPM’s newly acquired mining claims on November 28, 2011....wonder what the mood was like at head office right after they received that little bomb shell? Also wonder who was sent packing for this huge screw up?

No doubt senior management of Coeur d'Alene Mines are extremely upset and embarrassed especially since they had been touting their new expansion at Rochester to a number of investment banks and analysts on September 23, 2011 and it appears that a large portion of those claims had already lapsed on September 1st meaning they were seemingly misrepresenting this asset to the financial community ...see http://phx.corporate-ir.net/External.File?item=UGFyZW50SUQ9NDQxMDAzfENoaWxkSUQ9NDYyOTA5fFR5cGU9MQ==&t=1

So if they raised money based on that presentation, they may very well be wide open for some unpleasant ramifications and possibly a lawsuit.

Coeur d'Alene Mines Corporation (CDE- NYSE) is the largest U.S.-based primary silver producer (market cap of $2.7B) and they no doubt will want to reacquire this property to save face and mitigate potential lawsuits. What is this going to worth to them? Will they think of just buying RPM out?
