You have a good point! The acronyms can be a bit over the top. Here is a list to get you started:
PM = Private Message - you click on someone's profile, and send them a message direct to their email
IMO = In my opinion (i.e. open to debate, but it's my opinion)
TA = Technical Analysis - i.e. ignoring the fundamentals, where should the stock go just based on what the chart looks like? e.g. very narrow trading range, constantly getting even more narrow - set up for a breakout. etc etc.
SP = stock price
PP = Private Placement - raising money not by an initial public offering or a secondary market placement, but instead via private, qualified investors
DD = Due diligence - really check all the background data yourself
NR = news release - something to move the stock up, hopefully
IR = Investor relations
MM = Market maker, or often instead, market manipulator - someone with a ton of shares that pushes the price around
