I've been thinking that the response to the coronavirus is almost like a clinical trial...call it 'measuring the effect of social distancing and other mitigation protocols to slow the spread of covid-19'.

Now the clinical trial has a control group, Sweden.

I only just learned this thanks to a post in another forum, and confirmed it in a Forbes article, and another more recent story on NBC's website....which includes a picture of people dining in a public restaraunt March 27th.

I've taken some grief for being a "Cov-Idiot" so its gratifying to see that I have 10 million Scandinavian allies....well, maybe not all, perhaps some are angry that their gov't isn't locking things down like in most other countries.

If social distancing and all the rest is as effective in saving lives as we Canadians are being told every day in the media, then it stands to reason that Sweden's death toll from Covid-19 will be signficantly higher.  If on the other hand their death figures line up with everyone else...with variations allowed for age of population etc....then we'll know that our governments did go overboard.
