KBC - Probably true for many but also many have been in this so long and paid so much for shares that selling is almost a total loss while holding regardless of how slim hopes might be more beneficial. You hear that alluded to often. Funds invested early are down to just a few single digit percentage points of what they cost so almost a total paper loss. Maybe break even isn't the proper level to bail for all but probably some. It all depends on your cost. Everyone's situation is a little different but selling at a 99% loss isn't more prudent than holding something with a slim 5% chance of even paying 25% or 50% back let alone 100% or a profit. Initial purchase price might affect one's feeling toward a company or management but the holding should be evaluated on what is its reasonable expectancy from today and what is today's price. If you are way down but feel almost positive it will climb ten-fold over the next six months, it is a good hold from this day until then. Not a premonition of RVX, just an example. Investmenmt decisions can be very dynamic and need to be reviewed constantly.
