Regarding "....a buyer might be more interested".

With all that ABL has going for it, I cannot believe that there are not interested buyers. The problem must be Don's conditions and expectations that they find (probably very reasonably) unacceptable. So they walk away. The danger is that they do not walk away and do nothing, but learn from the experience and (with vast resources) start their own program to develop a competitor molecule.
