No I have not had covid, am 75 years old and am very careful, still masking. I had 2 shots of Pfizer then a pfizer booster. This Feb 5  I had my second booster with Moderna.   I strongly believe in vaccinations, having lived through the polio epidemic of the 1950's. My cousin was crippled by it and saw neighbors in iron lungs.  I was a polio pioneer who was part of the trials for the vaccine in 2nd grade in San Francisco Bay Area. My parents received a letter after the trial ended saying I had been in the placebo group. I immediately received the real vaccine.

I am in Seattle near the epicenter of the first US covid cases.  My son's wife caught it early before vaccinations were available. She spent a week in the hospital.  As a result of the steroid treatments which saved her life, she later developed necrosis of the hip joint due to the steroid treatments. She has had surgery and may need a hip replacement. A terrible fate for a 39 year old.
