coldnewfie - Unfortunately for you and your wife they are only recruiting people that currently have COVID and are currently being admitted to one of 3 hospitals in Canada. So far we have only heard about one of those hospitals in Edmonton that has actually recruited a patient(s).

A Long COVID study will be a number of months or even years away as this company simply does not have the money to fund additional trials on their own at this time. If we see spectacular results in this current COVID trial it may incentivize the Cdn government to fund a Long COVID trial as they could be a huge beneficiary of positive results from dramatically less hospitalization costs for years into the future. A lot of water will have to go under the bridge before we get there though.

I have been trying to find the post that someone on this board made mid way through last year about the follow up study done in the UK on about 89,000 post COVID patients but not having any luck. My recollection was that there was an over 10% death rate within about 9 months of leaving the hospital.The medical community has come a very long way in their treatments of COVID patients since this pandemic started and I believe drugs like APB could continue to change the battlefield as we move forward.

I had almost a dozen family members contract COVID over the Christmas holiday so I certainly hope for everyone's sake that drugs like APB progress forward at lightening speed.
