Apabetalone is concurrently and very responsively an Anti-viral and Anti-inflammatory drug.

1:  Inflammation regulation

A doctor recently said (not verbatum):  "No one has died of the Covid-19 virus, it has long died off by the time your body succumbs to its overexpressed inflammatory response referred to as cytokine storms."

IMO, the main threat to your health and life is not the live virus but rather your body's overexpressed inflammatory response. 

As we all know Apabetalone is a fantastic regulator (and not a blocker) of your body's inflammatory response.   Stopping the cytokine storms from getting out of control is what Apabetalone will do.  I invite anyone to try and rebuttal this. 

2:  Anti-viral

According to cell studies at the 200mg dose, if the virus is still alive in your body when you are offered Apabetalone the drug will completely stop the virus in it's tracks, i.e. a 100% arrest in viral replication.  Even IF, and an unlikely if, apabetalone reduced the immune response that presumed effect should not be an issue because Apabetalone stop the virus from existing and causing further damage.  IN other words, Apabetalone will 100% and quickly eliminate the virus on behalf of your ill-performing immune response. 

So who cares about the recent studies' concerns (unfounded imo) that pan-BET inhibitors, with one BD selective inbitor having a 250 fold affinity to BD2 (compared to Apabetalone), might cause a reduced immune response.  In actual human trials we found no evidence of this potential issue in any studies of Apabetalone and that is with long-term use and in thousands of patient years.   

Imho, given the outstanding safety profile and the quick-acting dual mechanism of Apabetalone, with the inflammation regulation aspect as the most important and the most proven by this drug with human trials, I have concluded that Apabetalone is an excellent drug candidate at any stage of the illness.
