What I got out of reading this is that the sooner COVID 19 patients begin treatment with apabetalone the better their outcome should be. Apabetalone looks to act so fast on COVID 19 that the transient increase in ALTs that have effected some patients in past trials should not be a factor as, at least in the testing presented in the paper, suggests that dosing of COVID patients could be complete before that became an issue.

This article should set the stage for dosing to begin in the USA.
