I know there is this guy Dale Bredesen that seems to say that there are numerous causes and types of dementia - and each needs different treatment(s).
If that is the case, maybe there is some idetifiable subgroup for whom Apabetalone would have a reliable, repeatable, significant and beneficial effect.vascular or inflammatory dementia, perhaps.
Bredesen does seem to have good credentials, to report positive results, and I gather he has a large following. Not sure whether he is considered main stream and innovative, or whether he has been marginalized somehow. From the outside, it at least seems that he continues to hold responsible positions, and to publish on a variety of neurological topics. It does make sense to me that there could be numerous causes for cognitive decline. But am too out of the fray to be sure of anything.
