Lower MoCA score at baseline is associated with higher prevalance of CKD (see this poster).

A lot of overlap between the aged (70 or older), cognitively impaired (baseline MoCA<26) and CKD (baseline eGFR<60) populations. 80 of the 246 cognitively impaired (baseline MoCA<26) patients have CKD (baseline eGFR<60). 80 of the 262 CKD (baseline eGFR<60) patients are cognitively impaired (baseline MoCA below 26).
