Interesting to compare the results of the positive COLCOT trial to BETonMACE.

They are actually quite simular despite the fact that COLCOT is going to get a tonne of positive PR.  Both trial interventions were compared to best medical therapy in a high risk cardiovascular population.

In both trials there was a ballpark relative risk reduction of around 20%, ARR of 2%.  COLCOT p-value =0.02. 

What is the main difference between these COLCOT and BETonMACE?  It is really just the number of patients enrolled.  When you start with 2300 patients in both arms you get tighter confidence intervals.
