You seem to misunderstand how the embargoes work, Koo. It is not the company that agrees to the embargo. It is the author-investigators when they submit their abstract to the AHA. The agreement between investigators and companies at the outset of trials is that the investigators will be free to submit the results for presentation at meetings, and the AHA gives them no choice on the embargo. If they don’t comply with the rules, they are prevented from presenting and are hit with additional penalties.
