The average volumes is about 5.3 million shares a day. 

Unfortunately, we have a long string of holidays in which the Shenzhen stock exchange is going to be shut down for the next 5 business days.  So one needs to take that into account while interpreting the unusually high volumes going through right now.  If that was not complicated enough, the Shenzhen market itself is down some so far today.  Not sure what to make of this action so far.
