I have full confidence in the ability of the BETonMACE study chair, Dr. Kausik Ray, to communicate this complex topic. If you haven't heard him speak at past Resverlogix R&D day, Resverlogix sponsored ESC symposia presentations, or in one of his many recent interviews related to ORION-11 at ESC earlier this month, then you are missing out. He knows his stuff inside and out, is an incredible communicator, has been the lead investigator on some huge recent trials, and has widespread international respect and following. For a sampling of Dr. Ray's presentations, see here for a link to past PACE-CME Resverlogix sponsored symposia presentations at ESC.
I also have confidence in the rest of our Clinical Steering Committee. You can scroll down to the bottom of this page to see the members of BETonMACE, BETonRENAL and Neurodegenerative teams. The main ones responsible for BETonMACE communication will be the ones listed as authors here in the BETonMACE Rationale, design, and baseline characteristics paper. Dr. Kamyar Kalantar-Zadeh has also been quite active in giving Resverlogix sponsored symposia presentations at ERA-EDTA meetings. You can see those at this link.
Overall, Resverlogix has gathered an amazing team of lead BETonMACE investigators. I won't let one cringe-worthy short video segment from one of the many BETonMACE study site investigators sour my opinion of his knowledge and reputation, or of the whole BETonMACE team. You make some great points in your post Golfyeti. Communicating this exciting science to scientists, clinicians, patients, media, etc. will be a challenge. But I am completely confident that our team has a plan and is up to the task. Now we just need some outstanding BETonMACE top-line data!
