Dr. Basil S. Lewis, MD is not a member of the BETonMACE Clinical Steering Committee and due to conflict of interest it is extremely doubtful that he is a member of the DSMB (he is a BETonMACE investigator). The BETonMACE ClinicalTrials.gov site used to list location info for Israel with Dr. Basil Lewis listed as the Israel contact for Lady Davis Carmel Medical Center in Haifa, Israel. The latest ClinicalTrials.gov listing no longer lists location info, but you can still find it in the ClinicalTrial.gov archive at the bottom of the current trial listing.

So it seems that Dr. Lewis is the primary Israel clinical investigator for BETonMACE. Most likely each participating country in BETonMACE has a contact/primary clinical investigator.
